YEAST GROW TIMES FLUCTUATE DEPENDING ON STRAIN AND QUANTITY
ALE & LAGER YEAST: Typically requires up to 7 days to grow, package & prepare to ship. (Shop Ale Yeast or Shop Lager Yeast.)
WILD YEAST: Typically requires up to 10-14 days to grow, package & prepare to ship. (Shop Wild Yeast.)
Orders larger than 200-Pitchable can require up to 14 days to prepare for shipping.
BSI’s yeast strains have been genetically typed in our lab using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis. BSI has determined that some Saison and Belgian strains may contain the STA1 gene. Almost all of these strains demonstrating the STA1 gene however are not superattenuators as determined by in-house testing.
